My name is Andrea

I started pressing flowers as a teenager. I believe being gifted flowers is more precious than the week it lasts in a vase. After receiving flowers at my high school graduation, prom, school play, and my grandmother’s funeral, I wanted to remember how those flowers made me feel. I would keep one flower from each arrangement and place them in a shadow box that hangs on my wall today. The memory of a flower’s beauty shouldn’t go away when it wilts and gets thrown away.

Through much trial and error, I have learned how to correctly preserve the shape, color, and beauty that flowers held when they were alive. As I plan my own wedding, I feel like the bouquet I hold as a bride when I marry my wonderful fiancee should not go to waste (especially with how much they cost). So, I created Petals in Pressed to help others preserve the beauty of their flowers and cherish in their sentiment. I hope to work with you to help create your own special keepsake that will become a gorgeous decoration and a long-lasting memory.
